Who this applies to
This policy explains how Hari Web Designs (run by Harikrishnan, Payyanur, Kannur, Kerala, India) handles personal information on hariwebdesigns.com. You can contact me about anything in it at hello@hariwebdesigns.com.
What I collect
When you send an enquiry, contact form or quote request, I collect only what you enter, so that I can reply:
- Your name, and your email address or phone number (including the country code you select)
- Your message and the service you are interested in
- For quote requests, the options you chose and the indicative estimate shown to you
- The page you sent the form from
- The date and time of submission
I do not ask for sensitive information and I ask you not to include passwords, payment card details or identity numbers in your message.
How I use it
I use your details to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, and keep a record of our conversation. Each submission is stored in the website database and also sent to me by email. I do not sell your details and I do not use them for unrelated marketing.
Security and abuse prevention
To stop spam and automated abuse, the forms use a security token, a hidden field and a limit on how many messages one connection can send. For the limit, I store a salted one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself. These hashes are deleted automatically within 24 hours. A technical session cookie is used by the form for security and is removed when you close your browser.
Analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how people find the site. It records page views and a few actions, such as clicking WhatsApp or the phone link and sending an enquiry, and it sets cookies in your browser. Google receives usage information such as the pages visited, your device and browser type, and your approximate location worked out from your IP address. I do not send your name, email address, phone number or form content to Google Analytics, and I do not use it for advertising or personalised ads. You can block it with your browser privacy settings, a tracking-protection extension or Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
Who else handles your information
A trusted email delivery service passes the notification email to me. My hosting provider stores the website and its database. Google provides website analytics. If you choose to message me on WhatsApp, WhatsApp handles that conversation under its own terms and privacy policy. I do not share your details with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long I keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months, or longer if you become a client and the records are needed to support your website. After that they are deleted. Rate-limit hashes are deleted within 24 hours.
Your choices
You can ask me to show you, correct or delete the details you sent, by emailing hello@hariwebdesigns.com. I will respond as soon as I reasonably can. To avoid analytics, use the options described under Analytics and cookies.
Changes
If I change how I handle information, I will update this page and the date above.
